The Synergy 3 (formerly 2B) connects to the fuel rail sensor like all common rail tuning boxes but also to the map sensor (the turbo boost pressure sensor) and is available for a wide range of turbo diesels.
By also increasing the availability of air by a small increase in boost pressure, the benefits of the extra fuel are enhanced, mpg improved, emissions reduced and torque increased.
On some non dpf vehicles, the part throttle boost pressure is also raised (where possible) by a few psi and this further reduces turbo lag and improves mpg by making sure every last molecule of fuel has air to burn it cleanly.
Choose a Synergy 3 over a Synergy 1 for your non-dpf engine when you are looking for a more significant performance boost.

The above comment received in April'14, was the result of fitting our Digibooster standalone electronic boost controller on an Avensis which already had a single channel tuning box fitted so you can see that our technology does actually work and work well!
The Synergy 2b's channel 2 is the electronic boost controller and with the first channel altering the fuelling in the same way a Synergy 1 does, the results are as impressive as the price is low.
Ron says, "In the same way that fuelling can be increased without the injection pump or injectors falling apart, (regardless of whether by a remap or plug-in box), so too can the boost pressure be raised by a modest amount, safely. More boost equates to more torque which is one reason why modern diesels produce significantly more torque than those from 10 or more years ago. Increases in maximum boost pressure of more than 4psi should be attempted with caution and regard to the inevitable rise in intake air temperature which can cancel out the benefits of a big rise unless the intercooler is also upgraded.
On dpf engines, only the full throttle pressure is increased a bit like the overboost feature on some engines (eg some Fords). )When you use full throttle any regeneration is suspended so the engine behaves as if its a non dpf version). On part throttle during a regeneration the boost pressure may be increased by the ecu to help raise the temperature of the dpf to burn off the stored soot and it may not be desirable to have the unit increase this further. On non dpf engines a part throttle boost increase reduces turbo lag and further improves combustion."

We just fine tuning what Jaguar can't due to the conflicting emissions regulations. We bet their engine design team are a frustrated bunch, being so hamstrung. Fortunately, owners are not so hampered and don't mind spending a few more pounds to make their pride and joy just that bit smoother, more responsive and a shade more economical.

First impressions were not good the motor was lethargic and the gearing way to high for decent performance. I fitted the 2b from my Leon FR to the Skoda.
What a transformation absolutely fantastic. The motor with the 2b now has the guts to pull the high ratios from low revs. Previously it really struggled to reach 100, however with the 2b fitted it pulled 122@3900rpm on the flat. It was incredible that the 2b was able to transform the little 3 cylinder Skoda 1.2 to such a degree and while cruising at 70 the car still showed 70 mpg.
Throttle response is great and the engine now has real character and best of all puts a big smile on your face.Please find attached some images of the connections in place.
